A law firm in Macon, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney or Of Counsel with 2-10 years of experience in complex commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will have a federal clerkship background, distinguished academic credentials, superior writing and analytical skills, and experience in Electronic Discovery and federal court writing.

 

Duties:

  • Handle complex commercial litigation cases with meaningful involvement on a national scale.
  • Conduct legal research, analysis, and writing for ongoing litigation matters.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents for federal court proceedings.
  • Participate in case strategy development and client meetings.
  • Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff on case-related tasks.
  • Assist in Electronic Discovery processes and manage electronic document review.
  • Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Stay updated on changes in federal court rules, procedures, and legal developments.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical standards and professional responsibilities.

 

Requirements:

  • Valid law license required for the position.
  • 2-10 years of experience in complex commercial litigation.
  • Federal clerkship background strongly preferred.
  • Distinguished academic credentials with superior writing and analytical capabilities.
  • Experience in Electronic Discovery and federal court writing highly desirable.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active law license in good standing.

 

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional writing and communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage complex litigation matters effectively.
