Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on assigned cases.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare for and attend court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
  • Manage discovery processes, including written discovery and depositions.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts regarding case status and developments.
  • Assist in case strategy development and execution.
  • Participate in settlement negotiations and mediations.
  • Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and legal precedents.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff within the firm.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Louisiana or eligibility for admission by reciprocity.
  • 2-4 years of active litigation experience.
  • Strong academic credentials, including law school ranking and class standing.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Louisiana or eligibility for admission by reciprocity.
