A law firm is currently seeking an Insurance and Reinsurance Associate Attorney for their office in Irvine with 3-5 years of insurance coverage and commercial litigation experience. The attorney will be responsible for demonstrating a deep understanding of insurance coverage issues, specifically under professional liability, general liability, and directors' and officers insurance policies. The role includes extensive civil litigation experience covering various aspects such as drafting pleadings and dispositive motions, handling all facets of discovery and discovery motion practice, conducting depositions, and making court appearances (commensurate with experience level). Preferred qualifications include experience with business development, client management, and independent case management. Excellent academic credentials and superior research and writing ability are essential.

 

Duties:

  • Understand insurance coverage issues under professional liability, general liability, and directors' and officers insurance policies.

  • Manage all facets of discovery and discovery motion practice.
  • Conduct depositions and make court appearances (commensurate with experience level).

Requirements:

  • Excellent academic credentials.

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Bar admission in the state of practice.
