A law firm based in Denver, CO, is seeking a Litigation Attorney to manage a caseload of approximately 30 cases, focusing on plaintiff's personal injury matters. The Litigation Attorney will oversee all aspects of litigation, from case initiation to trial, with the support of a dedicated paralegal. They will utilize their experience in drafting pleadings, conducting depositions, managing discovery, and representing clients in jury trials.

 

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of approximately 30 litigation cases from start to finish.
  • Supervise a full-time paralegal assigned to the attorney.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis relevant to ongoing cases.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct depositions and prepare witnesses for testimony.
  • Respond to written discovery requests and prepare discovery responses.
  • Engage in motions practice and oral arguments as necessary.
  • Represent clients in jury trials and other court proceedings.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
  • Utilize outstanding interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships.

 

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado.
  • 4-9 years of experience in litigation, preferably with a focus on plaintiff's personal injury cases.
  • Familiarity with the Colorado Rules of Civil Procedure.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask effectively.

 

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in the State of Colorado.

 

Skills:

  • Litigation experience, particularly in plaintiff's personal injury cases.
  • Case management and organization.
  • Legal research and writing.
  • Depositions and witness preparation.
  • Oral advocacy and courtroom representation.
