Job Overview: A law firm seeks a Senior Trial Attorney to lead and supervise all litigation tasks, including trials, focusing on personal injury cases. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in personal injury litigation, particularly in California, and will demonstrate proficiency in case development, strategy, and client communication.

Duties:

  • Supervise and lead all litigation tasks related to personal injury cases up to and including trial
  • Develop comprehensive case plans and strategies to maximize case value and pursue aggressive prosecution
  • Conduct targeted discovery, law, and motion practice, expert discovery, and trial work
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates on case status and progress
  • Ensure resolution of cases to clients' satisfaction

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of personal injury litigation experience in California
  • Previous personal injury trial experience in California
  • Demonstrated experience taking at least 5 or more jury trials to verdict
  • Prior experience litigating Traumatic Brain Injuries, Wrongful Death, Catastrophic Injuries, and Surgical Orthopedic cases
  • Proficiency in taking party, witness, and expert depositions and preparing cases for trial
  • Prior trial experience is highly desirable
  • Fluency in Spanish is a significant asset
  • Admission to the State Bar of California

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the State Bar of California
