Duties:

  • Collaborate on complex transactional matters, primarily focusing on mergers and acquisitions, ensuring legal compliance and strategic alignment.
  • Conduct legal research, draft documents, and provide insightful analysis to support clients in corporate transactions.
  • Interact directly with clients to understand their objectives, address concerns, and provide legal guidance throughout the transactional process.
  • Assist in the negotiation, drafting, and review of corporate contracts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client goals.
  • Provide legal counsel on government contracting matters, staying abreast of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.

Requirements:

  • Possess 3-5 years of relevant experience in corporate law, with a strong emphasis on mergers and acquisitions.
  • Demonstrated experience in handling a broad range of transactional work, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate contracts, and government contracting.
  • Exceptional writing skills with the ability to draft and review legal documents with precision and clarity.
  • Strong research capabilities to analyze legal issues and provide comprehensive advice to clients.
  • Outstanding communication skills to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Virginia Bar is required.
  • Admission to the Maryland (MD) and District of Columbia (DC) bars is a plus.
