The candidate will draft, prepare, and handle pleadings, motions, orders, and legal memoranda. Will draft and respond to written discovery and dispositive motions. Conduct legal research competently and with proficiency. Prepare and take depositions of parties and experts. Review client documents, draft case evaluations, and status report correspondence. Assist with and participate in mediations and court appearances. Broad experience in Insurance Defense is a plus, as is experience in employment, banking, intellectual property, and construction litigation. Must be licensed to practice in Missouri and Kansas state and federal courts. Additional state admissions are a plus. Should have knowledge of both state and federal court procedures.
