Job Summary:
Farmers Insurance is seeking a highly motivated Senior Trial Attorney to join our Southern California team. The ideal candidate will have experience handling cases of moderate to great exposure and/or complexity, with a minimum of three years as an Attorney including civil jury trial experience or equivalent dispositive ADR experience. This is a virtual position, with in-person appearances required in the Los Angeles area.



Essential Job Functions:

Represent clients in all assigned cases with competence, ethics, and diligence.
Provide guidance, supervision, and training to other Attorneys.
Perform managerial and administrative tasks as requested by supervisor.
Keep supervisor informed of work being done for clients and any problems encountered.
Consult with and provide opinions to the Claims Department on insurance policy questions and legal aspects of personal injury claims.
Functionally supervise attorneys assisting with specific cases.
Maintain and update computerized litigation support systems.
Perform other assigned duties.

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor's degree required.
Law school degree and active State Bar membership required.
Minimum of three years as an Attorney with civil jury trial experience or equivalent dispositive ADR experience.
Ability to handle cases of moderate to great exposure and/or complexity with minimal supervision.
Public speaking and driving abilities required.

Physical Requirements:

Occasional lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds.
Ability to hear, see, stand, and walk.
Work is typically performed in a climate-controlled office environment, with some exposure to outside environmental conditions and travel.
