Job Overview:

The Criminal Defense Attorney will be responsible for providing legal counsel to clients facing criminal charges. They will represent clients at pretrial hearings, manage court appearances and trials, and conduct legal research to analyze case outcomes.

Duties:

• Advise clients on legal rights and draft legal documents pertaining to their cases.
• Attend pretrial hearings on behalf of clients, providing post-hearing advice on optimal strategies.
• Manage court appearances, trials, and motions drafting.
• Conduct interviews with witnesses and perform legal research to support cases.
• Analyze probable case outcomes based on legal precedents.
• Manage the workload of cases efficiently.
• Provide legal analysis to clients to determine potential case benefits.
• Gather additional evidence to support clients' cases or counter prosecution charges.
• Prepare clients for depositions and strategize case goals with them.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Criminal Defense experience.
• Experience handling complex criminal cases at federal, state, and local levels.
• Team player willing to collaborate with fellow associates.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the California State Bar or eligibility for reciprocity.
