Job Overview: The Worker's Compensation Defense Attorney will be responsible for providing legal representation to clients in workers' compensation defense matters, ensuring proactive and client-focused assistance from case assignment to resolution. They will demonstrate strong organizational skills, research and analytical expertise, and exceptional communication abilities to navigate efficiently in a paperless environment. Building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external partners is vital for this role's success.

Duties:

• Provide legal representation to clients in workers' compensation defense matters.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support defense strategies.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Attend hearings, trials, depositions, and mediations as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and external parties.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a workers compensation defense attorney preferred.
• Proactive and client-focused approach from case assignment to resolution.
• Strong organizational ability to manage caseload effectively.
• Research and analytical expertise to develop effective defense strategies.
• Ability to navigate efficiently in a paperless environment.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external partners.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Current State Bar License/Member in good standing - California.
