The Associate Attorney will primarily focus on handling foreclosure matters for the firm. This includes preparing, reviewing, and approving foreclosure-related pleadings, participating in various legal proceedings, and maintaining regular communication with clients.

 

Duties:

  • Prepare, review, and approve foreclosure-related pleadings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Handle all aspects of foreclosure matters, including contested foreclosures, and represent clients effectively.
  • Participate in mediations, depositions, telephonic hearings, and in-person hearings related to foreclosure cases.
  • Maintain regular client meetings and provide updates on case progress and developments.
  • Review chains of title and other relevant documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Undertake other duties and special projects as assigned by supervising attorneys.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  • Member in good standing of the Maine Bar Association.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
  • Proficient in using client systems, email, and phone for communication.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills to handle complex legal issues.

 

Skills:

  • In-depth understanding of foreclosure laws and procedures.
  • Analytical skills to assess legal issues and devise effective strategies.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
