Job Summary:
As a State & Local Tax Manager at PwC, you will be responsible for helping clients with their state and local tax burdens, developing strategies to manage tax controversies, and identifying opportunities for tax savings. You will work as part of a team of problem solvers and use your technical knowledge and industry insights to provide valuable solutions to clients.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new skills outside of your comfort zone to stay ahead in a constantly changing world
- Resolve issues that may hinder team effectiveness
- Coach and encourage team members to take ownership of their personal development
- Analyze complex ideas and make meaningful recommendations
- Use multiple sources of information to develop solutions and recommendations
- Address sub-standard work and uphold the firm's code of ethics
- Stay up-to-date on key global trends and their impact on clients
- Manage different viewpoints to reach consensus and positive outcomes
- Simplify complex messages and summarize key points

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in state and local tax services
- CPA certification preferred
- Master's degree in Taxation or Political Science preferred
- Thorough knowledge of state and local tax laws and regulations
- Technical skills in FAS 109, unitary filing, apportionment methodologies, tax base rules, tax research, compliance, and consulting
- Experience in building and maintaining client relationships
- Ability to communicate value propositions and manage project workflow and budgets
- Familiarity with CRM systems and automation/digitization in a professional services environment
