EY, a global professional services firm, is seeking a highly ethical and talented Tax Services Senior to join their Financial Services Organization (FSO) team, specifically in the Banking & Capital Markets industry. The Role:
• Manager in the FSO Tax Banking and Capital Markets practice
• Leading teams, managing operations, ensuring quality and timeliness of deliverables, building relationships with stakeholders, and developing tax technical positions
• Mentoring and coaching younger members of the firm
• Resource planning and overseeing engagement economics
• Developing work plans and tax technical points of view
• Anticipating client needs and issues
• Engagements may involve tax accounting, compliance, planning, process improvements, and information reporting

Responsibilities:
• Grasp on relevant sections of the Internal Revenue Code and Treasury Regulations for FSO clients
• Identify opportunities for improvements in operating efficiencies
• Use tax compliance and provision engagements to identify additional work beneficial for clients
• Ability to synthesize information and resolve issues efficiently
• Working knowledge of tax compliance forms and jurisdictions
• Complete oversight of engagement economics

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree with minimum of 5 years of tax experience
• CPA or licensed Attorney, or ability to achieve within one year of employment
• Experience in banking industry or with banking clients desired
• Broad exposure to federal income taxation

Preferred Qualifications:
• Excellent organizational skills
• SEC experience
• Proven experience in managing teams
