The Client Legal Services department of Allstate is seeking a Trial Counsel for the Sacramento, CA and surrounding area. This is a remote position with the ability to work from home. The ideal candidate will have a juris doctorate and a license to practice law in California, with at least 5 years of related experience. The main responsibilities of this role include managing insurance defense and tort litigation, representing insureds and the company in legal proceedings, and providing legal advice and counseling to clients. The salary range for this position is $105,, and will be based on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage insurance defense and tort litigation matters
• Represent insureds and the company in legal proceedings
• Provide legal advice and counseling to clients
• Conduct research and analysis and make strategic recommendations
• Draft and negotiate legal agreements and correspondence
• Monitor and review new laws and regulations and advise on their impact
• Participate in business process reviews and strategic initiatives
• Work with outside counsel and manage budgets, if applicable

Requirements:

• Juris doctorate and license to practice law in California
• 5+ years of related experience, preferably in insurance defense and/or trial experience
• Knowledge of legal holds and discovery processes
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office suite
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate ethics and integrity
• Willingness to work in a remote office environment and travel within the Sacramento, CA and surrounding area

Compensation:

• Salary range of $105,, based on experience and qualifications
