A law firm based in Seattle, WA is seeking an Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience, preferably in civil litigation and/or insurance defense. The ideal candidate will possess strong writing and oral advocacy skills, practical litigation proficiency, and a positive attitude. The Associate Attorney will serve in all facets of civil litigation, from client interaction to discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial. The Associate Attorney will play a key role in civil litigation matters, representing clients and advocating for their interests. They will be involved in all stages of litigation, from initial client meetings to trial proceedings, and will work closely with colleagues to achieve successful outcomes.

 

Duties:

  • Represent clients in civil litigation matters, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to develop case strategies
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and gather information
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff on case management and strategy
  • Attend court hearings, conferences, and other legal proceedings
  • Negotiate settlements when appropriate

 

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience, preferably in civil litigation and/or insurance defense
  • Strong writing and oral advocacy skills
  • Practical litigation proficiency
  • Positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a team environment

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Washington State Bar or eligibility for admission on motion
