A law firm in San Jose is seeking a highly experienced Senior Real Estate Attorney to lead its real estate law practice. The ideal candidate will possess a Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA accredited law school, admission to practice, and be in good standing with the State Bar of California. They should have a minimum of 10 years of Real Estate Law experience and a robust portable book of business, preferably exceeding $500,000. The Senior Real Estate Attorney will be responsible for reviewing and advising on various transactional real estate matters, supervising and training real estate associates, and actively participating in marketing and business development initiatives.

 

Duties:

  • Review and advise on transactional real estate matters, including Purchase and Sale Agreements, due diligence, title review, development, land-use, zoning, environmental issues, leases, construction, 1031 Exchanges, syndicated real estate transactions, partnerships, LLCs, and joint ventures.
  • Supervise and train real estate associates within the firm.
  • Work and collaborate with other attorneys within the firm on a cross-referral basis.
  • Actively participate in the firm’s marketing and business development initiatives to promote the real estate law practice, including client updates, blogs, and related activities.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in California and in good standing with the State Bar of California.
  • Minimum of 10 years of Real Estate Law experience.
  • Robust portable book of business, ideally exceeding $500,000.

 

Education and Certifications:
