Job Summary:

- The Trial Attorney is responsible for representing clients ethically and diligently in assigned cases, which can involve all areas of tort practice.

Essential Job Functions:

- Handles cases involving moderate to severe injuries and/or damages, including preparation of legal documents, attendance at hearings and trials, and providing support for other attorneys.
- May supervise other attorneys on particular cases.
- Consults with and advises the Claims Department on insurance policy questions and legal aspects of personal injury claims.
- Keeps supervisor informed of work and any issues encountered.
- Maintains and updates computerized litigation support systems.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Actions and Environment:

- Job duties may require lifting up to 25 pounds, hearing, seeing, standing, and walking.
- Work is primarily in a climate-controlled office environment, with some travel required.

Education Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree and law school degree required.
- Must be a member in good standing of the State Bar in the state of employment.

Experience Requirements:

- At least three years as an Attorney, including civil jury trial experience or equivalent ADR experience.
- Must be able to handle cases of moderate to great exposure and/or complexity with minimal supervision.

Special Skill Requirement:

- Strong public speaking skills and ability to handle high case loads in adversarial situations.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
