Job Overview: A law firm is seeking an experienced Labor and Employment Partner to join its team in Portland, OR. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional legal expertise in labor and employment law and a proven track record of successfully managing client relationships and driving business development initiatives.

Duties:

  • Provide expert legal counsel and representation to clients on a wide range of labor and employment matters, including but not limited to discrimination claims, wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, and labor relations.
  • Led and managed complex litigation cases from inception to resolution, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, preparing motions, and representing clients in court proceedings.
  • Advise clients on compliance with federal, state, and local labor and employment laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff members to develop and implement effective legal strategies and solutions for clients.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively pursuing new business opportunities and expanding the firm's client base.
  • Mentor and supervise junior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.

Requirements:

  • Admission to the Oregon or Colorado Bar is required.
  • Demonstrated success as a Labor and Employment attorney with a portable business of at least $500,000.
  • Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients and colleagues.
  • Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct in all aspects of legal practice.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
