Job Title: Tax Senior - Business Tax Services - Federal/Corporate Tax (Central Region Office Locations) Experience: 3+ years in federal taxation Salary Range: $63,420 to $126,620, plus potential for annual incentive program participation Location: 28 locations in the Central Region Position Summary: - Seeking strategic and creative federal tax professional to solve complex tax issues across multiple jurisdictions and countries. - Opportunity to work in Deloitte's Business Tax Services (Federal tax) practice, providing compliance and consulting services to large global and dynamic midsize clients. - Recruiting for this role ends on June 1, 2024. Responsibilities: - Perform technical review of federal tax returns and related work papers. - Coordinate with client's tax and finance departments for tax planning and compliance data. - Review income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740. - Research federal tax legislation for compliance and consulting purposes. - Assist with tax consulting projects, including research and writing related to federal tax planning, restructuring, controversy, and income tax accounting. - Manage engagement workflow and supervise tax consultants and interns. The Team: - Deloitte Tax LLP's Business Tax Services team is a dynamic group of professionals from varying backgrounds. - Provides expertise to clients in integrating tax strategy into business operations while managing individual risk profiles. - Business Tax subject matter experts and industry specialists offer services and solutions relevant to clients' businesses. - Assist with global tax challenges and transform tax departments for greater impact and efficiency. - Services range from planning and compliance to risk management and specialized services. - Opportunity to optimize clients' tax functions and take strategy to the next level. Qualifications: Required: - Ability to work in a hybrid model, co-locating in person 2-3 days per week. - 3+ years' experience in federal taxation, including preparation and review of returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals. - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. - One of the following accreditations: CPA, Licensed Attorney, Enrolled Agent, CFA, CFP. - Ability to travel up to 25% based on work and client needs. Preferred: - Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM. - Experience in virtual and/or global environment. - Passion for leveraging technology and exploring new solutions. - Experience with ASC 740. - Previous experience at Big 4 or large CPA firm. - Supervisory experience. - Excellent research, writing, and presentation skills.
