Job Overview: A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Real Estate practice group. This position offers the opportunity to learn under the region’s top attorneys while engaging in meaningful, challenging, and cutting-edge legal work. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, hard-working professional capable of handling diverse projects with significant flexibility in their work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducted legal research and analyzed real estate law and related legal issues.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate various real estate documents, including leases, purchase agreements, and financing documents.
  • Assist in real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing.
  • Represent clients in real estate litigation and dispute resolution.
  • Advise clients on compliance with real estate regulations and laws.
  • Prepare legal memoranda, briefs, and opinions.
  • Participate in client meetings and provide updates on case progress.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on complex legal matters.
  • Manage and prioritize a diverse and high-volume caseload.
  • Stay current on changes in real estate law and industry trends.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the North Dakota State Bar or eligibility to become licensed.
  • Experience in real estate law or related practice areas.
  • Strong understanding of real estate transactions and property law.
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a law firm environment.
  • Familiarity with West Fargo and the regional real estate market.
