Job Overview: A law firm in San Diego, CA, is seeking a motivated and experienced Litigation Associate Attorney to provide comprehensive legal counsel and litigation strategies for clients. The successful candidate will manage full case responsibilities, handle diverse matters in transportation and commercial litigation, and demonstrate strong negotiation and communication skills.

Job Details:

• Counsel and formulate litigation strategies for transportation matters, including catastrophic loss, personal injury, cargo claims, product liability, and regulatory compliance.
• Handle commercial litigation matters, including contract-related claims, real estate disputes, landlord/tenant issues, breach of fiduciary duty claims, fraud and misrepresentation claims, unjust enrichment claims, and partnership disputes.
• Manage full case handling responsibilities, encompassing discovery, pleadings, motions, depositions, mediations, and trial proceedings.
• Provide comprehensive and clear reporting to client representatives on case developments.
• Engage in negotiation and effective communication with opposing counsel.
• Draft and respond to correspondence pertaining to legal matters.

Requirements:

• Admission to and in good standing with the California Bar.
• Minimum of 3 years of civil litigation experience, with a preference for transportation, commercial litigation, product liability, and/or general liability experience.
• Experience in conducting depositions and writing and arguing motions, including for summary judgment.
• Possess strong analytical skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Highly motivated professional with the ability to take initiative and work independently as well as within a team.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the California Bar.

Skills:

• Proficient in legal research and analysis.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Experience in drafting legal documents and correspondence.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple cases efficiently.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
