QTS is looking for a Senior Corporate Counsel (Finance) to join our legal team. This position will be responsible for supporting the company's legal operations in a variety of matters, with a focus on general corporate matters, corporate governance, regulatory and compliance matters, insurance, vendor contract negotiations, and internal corporate policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a JD from an accredited US law school, admission to the Bar of a US state or the District of Columbia, and at least five years of legal experience in a general corporate transactional practice. Experience with project finance and/or asset-based lending is preferred.

Responsibilities:

- Overseeing general corporate legal matters
- Negotiating and drafting customer and vendor contracts as well as other transactional matters
- Assisting with legal and regulatory compliance
- Managing books and records
- Ensuring compliance with domestic and international privacy laws
- Managing the company's data security program
- Overseeing the company's insurance program and operations
- Handling a variety of other legal functions such as loans, joint ventures, acquisitions, construction, real estate, intellectual property protection, tax abatements, and litigation
- Managing collections on customer accounts
- Working with outside counsel, counterparties, insurers, and other third parties as needed

Requirements:

- JD from an accredited US law school with strong academic credentials
- Admission to the Bar of a US state or the District of Columbia
- 5+ years of legal experience in a general corporate transactional practice
- Experience with project finance and/or asset-based lending preferred
