Duties:

  • Independently manage cases through the litigation process, working collaboratively with the case team.
  • Conduct thorough fact investigations to gather evidence and build a strong defense.
  • Handle document productions and assist with various discovery tasks.
  • Prepare witnesses for deposition, ensuring they are well-prepared to testify effectively.
  • Take and defend depositions, representing the firm's clients during the legal process.
  • Review, summarize, and analyze medical records to identify key information for cases.
  • Assist with juror research to aid in jury selection and case strategy.
  • Prepare for court hearings, ensuring all necessary documentation and arguments are organized.
  • Contribute to trial preparation and attend trials to represent the firm's clients effectively.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in all phases of litigation defense.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
  • Active licensure in both Missouri and Illinois.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong advocacy skills to represent clients effectively in court.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active bar admission in both Missouri and Illinois.

Skills:

  • Legal research and analysis.
  • Case management and litigation strategy.
  • Witness preparation and deposition skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
