A law firm in San Diego is seeking a Mid to Senior Labor and Employment Litigation Associate Attorney with 6-8 years of experience in single plaintiff employment litigation, as well as wage and hour class and representative actions experience. The ideal candidate will have strong writing, verbal, analytical, and research skills, along with past participation in moot court, law review, or law journals.

 

Job Duties:

  • Handle all aspects of labor and employment litigation cases, including pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, hearings, and trials
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on labor and employment law issues
  • Provide strategic advice and counseling to clients on labor and employment matters
  • Assist with wage and hour class and representative actions
  • Participate in settlement negotiations and mediations
  • Draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, briefs, and memoranda
  • Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy and management

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the State Bar of California
  • 6-8 years of experience in single plaintiff employment litigation and wage and hour class and representative actions
  • Strong writing, verbal, analytical, and research skills
  • Participation in moot court, law review, or law journals preferred
  • Judicial clerkship experience is helpful

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the State Bar of California
