Corporate Counsel, Amazon Vehicle Sales - $123,100 - $229,000/year

Amazon is seeking a talented attorney with 5+ years of legal experience to join our team as a Corporate Counsel for Amazon Vehicle Sales. This role will involve transactional drafting and negotiation responsibilities for commercial agreements, as well as advising business clients on products, services, and strategic partnerships in the automotive industry. The successful candidate will have a Juris Doctor degree and membership in one state bar or equivalent, and prior experience as counsel in the automotive industry is preferred.

As a Corporate Counsel, you will be a key member of our team, working closely with business development, product, and tech teams to launch a new shopping category on Amazon. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a newly formed team with a vision to create innovative automotive discovery and shopping experiences for our customers. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, customer-obsessed, and able to work independently and make decisions in ambiguous situations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide ongoing legal counseling on a wide range of areas including advertising, consumer protection, and regulatory compliance
- Serve as counsel and directly advise business clients on product/services and strategic partnerships
- Structure, draft, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including technology and licensing

About the Team:
This role is one of the first on a newly formed team at Amazon, dedicated to creating innovative automotive discovery and shopping experiences for our customers. We are collaborating with other experienced teams at Amazon to redefine how customers research and shop for cars online.

Qualifications:
- 5+ years of legal experience
- Juris Doctor degree and membership in one state bar or equivalent
- Prior experience as counsel in the automotive industry preferred
- Experience in transactional and technology licensing or equivalent preferred

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $123,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
