Amazon is seeking a Corporate Counsel with expertise in trademark and copyright law to join their dynamic IP team. This position offers the opportunity to work with multiple business segments and protect their brands, trademarks, copyrights, and domain names.

Key Responsibilities:
- Directly manage clearance, prosecution, maintenance, and enforcement of US and foreign trademark portfolio
- Provide client counseling, licensing, and develop and implement intellectual property protection policies
- Educate and coach business on intellectual property matters
- Lead investigations and negotiations to resolve 3P trademark disputes

Basic Qualifications:
- Law degree and membership in good standing in at least one state bar or foreign equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience
- Experience managing a trademark portfolio, consisting of domestic and foreign marks
- Experience leading investigations and negotiations to resolve 3P trademark disputes

Preferred Qualifications:
- Expert-level knowledge of trademark and copyright issues, and best practices for companies
- Ability to be responsible for all trademark and copyright-related activities for multiple business segments in a fast-paced environment
- Creativity, attention to detail, commitment to customer service, and excellent communication skills
- Ability to understand and resolve complex legal and business issues
- Passion for branding

The compensation for this position is based on experience and includes equity compensation. We have openings in multiple locations, including Arlington, VA; Culver City, CA; and Seattle, WA. The base pay ranges from $123,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on factors such as market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
