Job Title: Vice President, Counsel - US Legal Team
Experience: Minimum 2 to 5 years of in-house corporate/commercial or law firm experience
Salary: $175,000 - $190,000 a year
Location: Chicago / New York / Atlanta
Company: Edelman - Legal / Full-Time / Hybrid

Responsibilities:

- Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts
- Draft miscellaneous corporate maintenance documents
- Serve as a primary point of contact for colleagues regarding legal matters
- Act as a business partner to the business team and collaborate with colleagues within the legal department
- Manage projects with limited oversight
- Identify substantive issues and provide alternative solutions
- Work with individuals at all levels both internally and externally
- Possess strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
- Communicate effectively in written and oral forms
- Learn quickly and adapt to changing needs

Qualifications:

- Law degree and admission to your state bar
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of in-house corporate/commercial or law firm experience
- Working knowledge and experience in contracts, intellectual property, corporate and labor/employment
- Ability to work independently and manage projects with limited oversight
- High attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work
- Problem solver with the ability to identify substantive issues and present viable alternative solutions
- Highly efficient and able to handle a large volume of work
- Strong analytical skills
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work with individuals at all levels both internally and externally
