Irvine office of our client seeks a personal injury litigation attorney with 3+ years of experience including trials. The candidate will represent clients in cases involving product liability, premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, and other personal injury matters. Will be drafting and filing of litigation documents to include pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, demands, motions, and memoranda of law. Guide plaintiff clients through the case process. Interaction with expert witnesses including conferences and drafting of expert reports and affidavits. Attendance and preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances on behalf of plaintiffs. Handling cases from preparing responsive pleadings to trial. Propounding and responding to discovery. Medical record review/summaries. Conducting depositions of plaintiffs, witnesses, and experts. Attend court hearings. Drafting complaints ranging from basic motor vehicle accidents to complex premises and assault cases. Trial Preparation, including Motions, Special Verdict Forms, Jury Instructions, and any other related tasks to support the firm in preparation for the Trial. Taking and defending depositions (including those of Plaintiff and experts, witnesses, etc.). Research and drafting of Motions and Oppositions to various motion types, including Motions for Summary Judgment and Demurrers, as well as Discovery-related Motions. Drafting complaints ranging from basic motor vehicle accidents to complex premises and assault cases. Must have CA State Bar License. An active member in good standing with the California Bar Association is required. Previous experience supervising a team of paralegals is needed. Spanish Speaker is a plus.
