The candidate will assist the supervising attorney in the management of family law cases. Will strategize, prepare for, and attend trial proceedings, mediation, and arbitration. Attend court hearings on behalf of clients and argue motions. Prepare letters, pleadings, declarations, lodgments, attachments to subpoenas, financial disclosures, mediation, and trial briefs. Propound and respond to discovery, prepare meet and confer letters, and prepare motions to compel. Prepare deposition outlines and exhibits. Prepare witness questions for evidentiary hearings and trials. Conduct legal research and prepare memorandums. Track billable time. Should preferably have 2-5 years of experience taking responsibility for client matters. Experience drafting discovery, motions, and legal documents is essential. Experience participating in settlement negotiations and mediation needed. Strong analytical skills and oral and written communication skills are essential. Should have attention to detail and accurate work product. Must be a highly motivated professional, serving the clients is the passion. Must be admitted to and in good standing with the California Bar.
