Type: Full-time Salary: Commensurate with experience # Senior Legal Counsel Tiverton is actively searching for a Senior Legal Counsel to join their team in Raleigh, North Carolina. The Senior Legal Counsel will be responsible for overseeing all legal matters related to the firm's existing fund investments, investment transactions, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance. The ideal candidate will have extensive legal knowledge, outstanding analytical skills, and the ability to skillfully handle complex legal and business matters. ## Job Description The Senior Legal Counsel will provide strategic legal guidance to the firm’s leadership team, conduct legal due diligence and risk assessment, participate in fund and deal structuring and negotiations, collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate legal risks, draft, review, and negotiate various legal agreements, manage the firm’s relationships with existing and new law firms, and ensure compliance of the firm's activities with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. ## Qualifications The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in managing legal and compliance functions in the investment management industry, overseeing complex transactions and legal matters, strong knowledge of fund formation, investment vehicles and structuring, highly knowledgeable about financial and securities laws, regulations, and compliance, exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, an undergraduate degree from an accredited university, a Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school, admitted to practice law in North Carolina (New York/Delaware also strongly preferred), and a minimum of 7 years working in relevant legal experience in private equity, investment management, or relevant corporate law practice. ## Additional Information Location: Raleigh, North Carolina?
