Deloitte is looking for a Tax Senior with experience in Investment Management and Private Wealth to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker and leader who is knowledgeable in multiple areas of taxation and enjoys delivering compliance and consulting services to individual clients and their trusts, estates, family offices, investment vehicles, charitable pursuits, and closely-held business concerns. Position: Tax Senior, Investment Management - Private Wealth (West Region Office Locations) Salary: The wage range for this role is estimated to be between $63,420 to $144,300. This takes into account various factors such as skills, experience, and certifications. Deloitte also offers a discretionary annual incentive program based on individual and organizational performance. Experience: 3+ years providing tax planning services or preparing and reviewing client work papers and income tax returns. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field is required. Advanced degrees such as MST, MAcc, JD, or LLM are preferred. Prior Big 4 experience is also a plus. Job Description: - Perform high-level reviews of tax research and work papers related to individual, fiduciary, partnership, closely-held corporations, estate, and gift tax returns. - Provide tax planning services and consulting to clients on complex tax issues and transactions. - Assist in client meetings to discuss compliance and consulting projects. - Collaborate with the Private Wealth team to serve the specialized needs of ultra-affluent clients, including families with multigenerational wealth, entrepreneurs, family offices, and closely-held business owners. - Help clients make informed decisions regarding their personal financial comfort, business and investment needs, family legacy, and charitable giving through estate planning. - Ability to travel up to 25% for client meetings and industry events. Qualifications: - Must be able to work in a hybrid model, with 2-3 days per week in the office. - Active accreditation such as CPA, licensed attorney, enrolled agent, or certifications like CFA or CFP are required or in progress. - Strong technology skills, especially in Microsoft Excel and compliance software. - Excellent research and writing skills. - Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. - Ability to manage projects, including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence, and billing.
