Job Overview: A law firm is currently seeking a Mid-Level Patent Associate Attorney with a minimum of 2 years of prosecution experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning, or Robotics. This position requires expertise in patent portfolio management and the ability to handle various ongoing projects independently and collaboratively. The candidate should be adaptable, possess excellent communication skills, and be keenly interested in emerging technologies such as blockchain, distributed ledgers, video codec, and cloud computing.

Duties:

• Conduct patent analysis and provide opinions of counsel.
• Manage and prosecute patent applications.
• Oversee portfolio management and strategy.
• Collaborate with internal and external clients, attorneys, and staff.
• Stay abreast of evolving technologies, legal developments, and best practices.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of prosecution experience at a law firm or in-house.
• Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning, or Robotics.
• Involvement in patent analysis/opinions of counsel and IPRs is a plus.
• Admission to the USPTO is a plus.
• Ability to manage time and deadlines effectively.

Education:

• Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning, or Robotics.
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the USPTO is a plus.
