Job Overview: A law firm in Fairfax, VA, seeks a Family Law Attorney with 1-5 years of experience. The ideal candidate must possess a Virginia law license, with DC and/or Maryland licenses considered a bonus. This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines, and excellent communication, both written and oral.

Job Duties:

• Supervise work performed by paralegals.
• Assist in drafting, discovery, motions, trial preparation, and trials.
• Manage changing deadlines client demands, and work for multiple partners and cases.
• Balance multiple client matters and understand the importance of deadlines.
• Ensure clear expression of written and oral ideas with proper grammar, formatting, and professionalism.
• Familiarity with the courts of Northern Virginia.
• Comfortable working remotely and familiar with hybrid work environment technologies.
• Maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding sensitive information.
• Exercise common sense and good judgment in legal matters.

Requirements:

• Virginia law license required, DC and/or Maryland license a bonus.
• 1-5 years of family law experience.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Effective time management, planning, and organization skills.
• Highly trustworthy and discreet.
• Analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Virginia law license required; DC and/or Maryland license preferred.
