A law firm in Irvine, CA, is seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law, be proficient in drafting legal documents, and have the ability to represent clients effectively in court.

Duties:

• Draft Family Law Pleadings, Requests for Orders (RFOs), and Motions.
• Handle the discovery process, including document requests and interrogatories.
• Maintain open and effective communication with clients to provide case updates and gather necessary information.
• Make in-person court appearances for routine legal matters.
• Assist Trial Attorneys with trial preparation, including researching and preparing legal arguments.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing family law.
• Active State Bar license with no prior history of discipline.
• In-depth knowledge of the California Family Code and procedures governing family law cases.
• Proficiency in drafting RFOs, Judgement Packets, and other family law-related documents.
• Ability to argue RFOs and handle Evidentiary Hearings in court.
• Proficient in using legal research tools and software to support case preparation.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admittance to the California State Bar.

Certifications:

• Active State Bar license.

• Strong legal research and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Strong advocacy and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with legal software and tools for legal research.
