A law firm in Los Angeles is currently seeking a skilled and dynamic Patent Litigation Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate should possess outstanding academic and professional achievements, including a strong law school record, impeccable references, and proven litigation and writing skills. The candidate should have 1-3 years of experience in patent litigation, demonstrating expertise in district court proceedings, Federal Circuit appeals, PTAB proceedings, tech transactions, and patent-adjacent work such as antitrust and trade secret cases.

 

Duties:

  • Handle patent infringement litigation cases in district court, including all phases from initial case assessment to trial.
  • Manage Federal Circuit appeals and proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB).
  • Engage in tech transactions involving patents, including licensing agreements and negotiations.
  • Handle patent-adjacent work, including antitrust and trade secret cases.
  • Provide legal advice and support on patent matters to clients.

 

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in patent litigation.
  • Outstanding academic achievements and law school record.
  • Proven litigation and writing skills.
  • Technical degree or relevant work experience preferred.
  • Admission to the California Bar preferred.
  • Patent Office registration is a plus.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California Bar.
  • Patent Office registration (preferred).

 

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of patent laws.
  • Excellent litigation and writing skills.
  • Ability to handle all phases of patent litigation cases.
  • Knowledge of Federal Circuit appeals and PTAB proceedings.
  • Negotiation skills for tech transactions and licensing agreements.
