Responsibilities:

- Direct multinational enterprises on business decisions, such as location, entity choice, supply chain optimization, and capital mobilization, while considering tax risk profile, effective tax rate, and cash posture.
- Advise clients on tax planning decisions, anticipating potential short- and long-term consequences and considering overall business objectives, tax risk profile, effective tax rate, and cash posture.
- Collaborate with our Mergers & Acquisition Tax team to structure tax aspects of private equity and strategic mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, dispositions, and IPOs.
- Assist multinational enterprises with tax provision preparation and compliance work, as well as support KPMG audit teams in reviewing financial reporting of global operations and transactions.
- Advise on income tax treaty planning opportunities for inbound and outbound cross-border investing and trading activities.
- Provide similar services to alternative investment companies, supporting all stages of the investment life cycle for both asset managers and portfolio companies operating globally.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of three years of experience in international, mergers and acquisitions, and/or federal tax planning engagements.
- Bachelor's degree required; Masters in Taxation, JD, and/or LLM with a concentration in tax preferred.
- Knowledge of international and domestic tax law provisions.
- Strong research and writing, Excel modeling, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to balance and lead multiple engagements, supervise and develop new and experienced staff professionals, and provide excellent client service.
- Skilled in developing and maintaining client relationships and expanding KPMG's presence in local and global markets.

Salary Information:

The salary for this position is determined based on relevant factors such as skills, job responsibilities, prior experience, and market considerations. Salary Range: $65500 - $132100 (California)
