The Mid-Level Fund/Leveraged Finance Associate Attorney will be responsible for providing legal support in secured and unsecured lending transactions, including fund financings, acquisition financings, leveraged finance deals, bridge loans, and other complex domestic and cross-border syndicated and bi-lateral financings. The successful candidate should have 3-6 years of experience, strong academic credentials, and relevant transactional experience in fund finance and leverage finance/private credit.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and support on secured and unsecured lending transactions.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate legal documents related to fund financings, acquisition financings, leveraged finance deals, and bridge loans.
  • Conduct due diligence and research on financial transactions.
  • Assist with the structuring and execution of complex domestic and cross-border syndicated and bi-lateral financings.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Stay current with industry trends, legal developments, and best practices in fund finance and leverage finance/private credit.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience in legal practice.
  • Strong experience in fund finance and leverage finance/private credit.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the bar in the state of North Carolina or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
  • Proven ability to handle complex financial transactions and legal matters.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the bar in the state of North Carolina or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research and writing skills.
  • Strong negotiation and contract drafting abilities.
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness in legal analysis.
