Amazon is seeking a skilled attorney with privacy experience to join their Privacy Legal team as a Corporate Counsel. This role will focus on advising on policies and practices for the collection, storage, and use of personal information across all of Amazon's business lines in the US and internationally. The successful candidate will have 5+ years of legal experience, a Juris Doctor degree, and membership in one state bar or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities:

- Advise on all aspects of global privacy laws and regulations
- Work closely with business leaders, legal teams, and public policy team
- Help shape the company's long term strategy for handling customer information
- Consult with lawyers and business leaders to develop innovative products and services
- Work with public policy and public relations teams to communicate policies and practices to regulators and customers

About the Team:

- Oversees, organizes, and drives all legal privacy initiatives across Amazon
- Serves as the subject matter expert on all customer-related privacy issues
- Open to hiring candidates in various locations including Arlington, VA, New York City, NY, New York, NY, and Seattle, WA

Qualifications:

- 5+ years of legal experience
- Juris Doctor degree and membership in one state bar or equivalent
- Experience in transactional and technology licensing or equivalent
- Experience in a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work preferred

Salary Information:

- Base pay ranges from $123,100/year in the lowest geographic market to $229,000/year in the highest geographic market
- Pay is based on factors such as market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience
- Total compensation package may include equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation
- Full range of medical, financial, and other benefits offered
