Job Overview:

The Trusts And Estates Attorney will prepare, review, and manage various legal documents and cases related to Trusts, Estates, Probate, and Conservatorships. They will collaborate with senior attorneys, delegate tasks to support staff, and maintain client relationships to deliver excellent service.

Job Details:

  • Prepare, review, and edit Accounting Petitions, Petitions for Instructions, Probate Petitions, Conservatorship Petitions, Ex Parte Applications, and other pleadings in Probate Law.
  • Oversee Trust Administrations, Probate, and Conservatorship cases from inception to closure, ensuring all necessary steps are taken.
  • Review Probate Notes and Tentative Rulings and address them via Supplements.
  • Collaborate with the Owner and Senior Associate Attorney to ensure smooth case progress through the pipeline.
  • Delegate work to paralegals, legal assistants, and law clerks and monitor their progress and quality of work.
  • Lead and participate in initial consultations and client meetings, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients through consistent and timely communication.
  • Appear at hearings as required, representing clients' interests effectively.
  • Coordinate with the billing department to generate accurate and timely invoices for legal matters.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in any of the following areas: Estate Planning, Special Needs Planning, Trust Administration, Conservatorships, and/or Probate.
  • Licensed with the California State Bar.
  • Ability to handle matters and clients independently, with appropriate orientation and monitored work.
  • Dedication to ensuring clients receive top-notch service and results.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office Suite, timekeeping, and case management software.
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence and empathy.
