Lead Counsel, Privacy (Instagram)

Meta is seeking a talented attorney to join the Instagram Legal team as Lead Counsel, Privacy. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and advise on privacy-forward products and initiatives. You will also maintain expertise in global privacy laws and regulations, and collaborate with regulators to ensure compliance with new product features.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain expertise in data privacy and protection laws
- Guide privacy-forward product development and evaluate impact of privacy laws
- Drive high-profile projects and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
- Develop and conduct privacy trainings for Meta employees
- Participate in internal privacy compliance programs

Minimum Qualifications:

- . degree and active membership in at least one . state bar
- 5+ years of legal experience, including at a law firm or in-house
- Experience advising on privacy legal risks and mitigations

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with global privacy laws and regulations
- Experience working cross-functionally in a multi-stakeholder environment
- Strong communication and counseling skills
