A law firm in Irvine, CA, is seeking a Litigation Attorney to handle general liability cases, including commercial and umbrella policies, in a fast-paced and demanding environment. The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of litigation, from case preparation to trial, and must possess strong advocacy and communication skills.

 

Duties:

  • Handle general liability cases, including catastrophic injuries, wrongful death, and HOA matters
  • Prepare responsive pleadings and other legal documents
  • Propound and respond to discovery requests
  • Review and summarize medical records
  • Conduct depositions of plaintiffs, witnesses, and experts
  • Attend court hearings and proceedings
  • Prepare motions and oppositions
  • Provide case status reports to carriers
  • Assist with trial preparation
  • Serve as co-counsel at trial

 

Requirements:

  • Prior insurance defense experience preferred
  • Strong litigation skills, including discovery, depositions, court appearances, and trial preparation
  • Excellent oral advocacy and written communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

 

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the State Bar of California
