# Employment Opportunity with the New York State Unified Court System The New York State Unified Court System is currently seeking to fill the position of Assistant Law Clerk JG: 23. This position is assigned to Hon. Emily Morales-Minerva, Supreme Court, New York County, Civil Term, GUARDIANSHIP PART 25. ## Qualifications The following qualifications are required for the Assistant Law Clerk JG: 23 position: * Graduation from an accredited law school no more than three (3) years prior to appointment and admission to the New York State Bar within eighteen months of appointment; or * Appointment within three (3) years of first admission to any bar in the United States. ## Duties Duties for the Assistant Law Clerk JG: 23 may include, but are not limited to: * Researching and analyzing complex legal issues * Drafting orders, opinions, and correspondence * Proofreading opinions * Scheduling and conducting preliminary, compliance, and settlement conferences * Communicating with counsel * Learning and utilizing court technologies and resources * Preparing for trials, which includes drafting jury charges and verdict forms ## Salary The base salary for the Assistant Law Clerk JG: 23 position is $77,484 + $4,500 location pay. ## Application Procedures All interested persons meeting the minimum qualifications are encouraged to submit a UCS-5 Application for Employment form (obtainable from any administrative office in a court building or on the web at ), a cover letter, a resume, law school transcript, and a writing sample by email to Sarah Lusk at .
