State & Local Tax - Manager

In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team to help clients with state and local tax issues. This includes assessing their tax burden, recommending solutions, and managing controversies related to income and franchise tax. You will also be responsible for developing strategies to help clients stay ahead of and manage state and local tax burdens, as well as identifying opportunities for clients to take advantage of changes in legislation and administrative policies.

Salary Information:

- Salary range: $90,000-$150,000 per year (depending on experience and qualifications)

Experience Information:

- Minimum 4 years of experience in state and local tax, with a focus on income and franchise tax issues
- Experience with tax planning, compliance, and audit defense
- Familiarity with FAS 109, unitary filing, apportionment methodologies, and tax base rules
- CPA or other relevant certifications preferred

- Develop new skills outside of comfort zone
- Resolve issues that prevent team from working effectively
- Coach and encourage team members to take ownership of their personal development
