Job Description:

The State & Local Tax Manager will work as part of a team to solve complex business issues, from strategy to execution. This position requires strong problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of state and local tax laws. As a Manager, you will also have the opportunity to develop new skills and coach others on their personal development.

Responsibilities:

- Develop a thorough understanding of state and local tax laws, including income tax planning, compliance, and audit defense
- Analyze complex ideas and provide meaningful recommendations for clients
- Use data and insights to inform decision-making
- Stay up-to-date on global trends and how they impact clients
- Manage and build consensus among diverse viewpoints
- Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in state and local tax
- CPA, Member of the Bar, or other relevant certifications
- Master's degree in Taxation or Political Science is preferred
- Strong technical skills, including FAS 109 and tax research
- Experience with automation and digitization in a professional services environment is a plus
