The candidate will be responsible for litigating family law matters, conducting legal research, attending depositions and hearings, drafting legal documents, and maintaining effective communication with clients and colleagues.

 

Duties:

  • Litigate family law matters from start to finish, including courtroom experience.
  • Develop family law cases by conducting thorough research on various legal issues.
  • Attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and other legal proceedings.
  • Review, analyze, and draft legal documents with attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Communicate with clients of varying levels of understanding, demonstrating knowledge and compassion.
  • Maintain effective communication with outside attorneys, senior management, clients, and support staff.
  • Track and manage billable hours, ensuring proper client and case management.

 

Requirements:

  • California Bar license is required.
  • Experience in family law is necessary.
  • Certified Family Law Specialist (CFLS) or eligibility is a plus.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California.

 

Skills:

  • Effective communication skills with clients and colleagues.
