The ideal candidate will possess 2-5 years of substantive experience in employment litigation, with a strong interest in trial work. Additionally, experience in defending wage and hour claims, transactional employment work, counseling on employment law compliance, and traditional management labor relations is highly desirable. Superior academic and writing credentials, along with California Bar admission, are required for this role.

Duties:

  • Handle employment litigation matters, with a focus on trial work and defending wage and hour claims, including class action lawsuits.
  • Engage in transactional employment work, including drafting employment and severance agreements, EEOC position statements, DFEH responses, and conducting witness interviews and depositions.
  • Counsel employers on federal and state employment law compliance.
  • Draft and review workplace policies to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Assist clients with the development and implementation of employment training programs.
  • Provide legal support in traditional management-labor relations.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of substantive experience in employment litigation.
  • Experience in defending wage and hour claims, including class action lawsuits.
  • Meaningful experience in transactional employment work, including drafting agreements and responding to agency inquiries.
  • Background in counseling employers on federal and state employment law compliance.
  • Superior academic and writing credentials.
