A law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Associate Attorney for its Virginia Beach, VA office.

Job Overview:

The Mid-Level Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling complex finance transactions, with a focus on sponsor-backed leveraged finance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience representing borrowers, lenders, and/or agents in various finance transactions. They will play a crucial role in deal teams, overseeing fundamental aspects of transactions from due diligence to closing.

Duties:

• Manage and execute complex finance transactions, particularly in sponsor-backed leveraged finance.
• Represent borrowers, lenders, and/or agents in various finance transactions.
• Act as a key member of deal teams, taking responsibility for essential transactional elements.
• Conduct thorough due diligence processes to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
• Provide legal counsel and guidance on corporate and finance matters.

Requirements:

• 4-7 years of experience in handling complex finance transactions.
• Extensive experience in sponsor-backed leveraged finance.
• Proven track record representing borrowers, lenders, and/or agents in finance transactions.
• Strong understanding of corporate and finance law.
• Licensed and in good standing with the Virginia State Bar.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Virginia.
