A law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney in Westlake Village, CA. The Litigation Associate Attorney will assist in all aspects of trial preparation, from demand letters to verdict forms, and participate in pre-trial and trial procedures. The role requires membership in the California Bar, a good understanding of evidence under California and Federal law, strong writing and computer skills, and preferably prior litigation experience and investigation skills.

 

Duties:

  • Assist in all aspects of trial preparation, including demand letters and verdict forms.
  • Participate in pre-trial and trial procedures, such as preparing pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, focus groups, investigations, and research.
  • Perform any tasks necessary to support trial preparation and execution.

 

Requirements:

  • Membership in the California Bar.
  • Good understanding of evidence under California and Federal law.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Westlaw.
  • Prior litigation experience desired.
  • Investigation skills preferred.
  • Writing experience desired.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Skills:

  • Good understanding of evidence under California and Federal law.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Westlaw.
