Job Overview:

The Associate Attorney will conduct legal research, draft pleadings, initiate and respond to discovery, argue motions, and assist with pre-trial tasks without supervision.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research on various topics related to litigation cases.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Initiate and respond to discovery requests.
  • Argue motions in court.
  • Assist with pre-trial tasks, including witness preparation and document organization.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff on case strategies and preparations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an associate litigation attorney.
  • Licensed to practice law in California.
  • Admitted in the federal district courts.
  • Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures and practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage caseload.

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • Admission to the federal district courts.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research methods and resources.
  • Exceptional drafting and writing skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
