A law firm is seeking a Mid-Senior Level Patent Litigation Associate Attorney to work closely with clients, providing strategic solutions in navigating patent laws and representing them in various legal proceedings.

Duties:

• Drafting pleadings, motions, memoranda, and correspondence for state and federal court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
• Responding to complex discovery requests and preparing for defense and conduct of depositions.
• Preparing for trial, including exhibit lists, evidentiary objections, motions in limine, and witness preparation.
• Drafting Federal Circuit appeal briefs and supervising/training junior associates.
• Conferring, negotiating, and communicating with opposing counsel.
• Providing solutions for navigating competitors’ patents and extracting value from intellectual property.

Requirements:

• 6-8 years of patent litigation experience.
• Significant experience with drafting pleadings, preparing infringement and invalidity claim charts, Markman proceedings, patent-specific fact, and expert discovery.
• Experience with inter partes reviews and overall litigation strategy.
• Patent trial experience is a plus.

Education & Certifications:

• Admission to the USPTO.
• Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or substantial experience litigating matters in these or similar disciplines.
